The department runs in the well-equipped Neuroscience building which offers 100 beds for patients with separate wards for Male and Female patients to ensure and respect privacy and maintain the dignity of patients. The Emergency and Neuro-trauma unit also runs a seperate 6 bed ICU for the care of Neurotrauma patients. The department supports Ayushman Bharat Yojana to provide free treatment to patients living below Poverty line.

The GSVSSPGI (PMSSY block) inaugurated in the year 2022 is a fully functional state of the art facility with 80 beds besides an OPD load of approximately 250-300 patients every day. The operation theatre witnesses a variety of complex cases including Neuro Endoscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgeries, Biopsies and tumour surgeries, peripheral nerve surgeries, Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery, Various spinal surgeries and Endovascular surgeries. The department is a tertiary care centre that caters to the Kanpur district as well as surrounding nearby 18 districts. With these facilities, the department aims to provide best possible care for patients and advanced learning Opportunities for residents and medical professionals. The future plan includes expansion of advanced medical facilities for patients and medical professionals.
